Since Tajweed literally means to beautify, I like to view Tajweed as a way of beautifying that which I love and increasing our connection the Qur’an directly.

You get out what you put in! Tajweed continuously needs renewing and practice as bad habits creep in at all times. However, to reach a really good level can take around 6-12 months. I know people who have spent years studying, but I believe they are either not putting in the time/effort or are not moving on to the next level! Please watch my video on YouTube, Rigidity Pt. 1 (can be found on the Home Page too).

Don’t worry, we all have to make sure we have strong fundamentals on which to build on. We can accommodate for you and make sure you improve and progress no matter your level. The minimum requirement is to be able to recognise the letters and read the words in Arabic.

All lessons are delivered via Zoom. 1-1 lessons are never recorded, whereas class lessons might be recorded and posted on to YouTube. These are predominantly unlisted, so only the students can get link to catch up on lessons & notes if necessary. Google Classroom is a great place to keep things nice and organised too.

It’s as simple as having a free lesson with me! I believe a good student-teacher relationship is necessary for both people to benefit. We get to meet each other, discuss what your goals are and go through a sample lesson to see what my teaching methods are like. After this you can decide whether to continue our lessons, inshaAllah.
